Lope is a movie with a great cast and ambience placed in the golden age of the Spanish literature. However, it commits two important mistakes that share with another great production like "Alatriste". First, the story modifies substantiatly the real biography of the main character, trying to make the plot easier while mixing several episodes of his life. It doesn't work. Second, the main character is performed by an Argentinian actor that doesn't speak a standard Spanish from Spain, in contrast with the rest of the cast. That makes the most important part of the film not credible. Maybe this second mistake is not so important for the international audience but, for the Spanish one, which I assume is the main target, makes the film a disaster.
