Can you just imagine the look on your new spouse's face it you went home and declared that your honeymoon was going to be in Ceausescu's Romania in 1966! If that wasn't already grounds for divorce, then I don't know what could ever be.... Anyway; our two newlyweds Ian Ogilvy and Barbara Steele decide this is a spiffingly good idea. Until, that is, she has an accident whilst driving by a lake and when she emerges is possessed by the spirit of a malevolent old witch who was drowned at the ducking stool by the 18th century occupants of the local village. Enlisting the help of Count von Helsing (John Karlsen) they have to defeat this evil crone before she exacts her chilling 20th century revenge. The horrific make-up is exactly that; the acting is pretty ropey, and there is little by way of decent dialogue for anyone to work with which is a shame because at it's best, the outdoor action photography is ok and the film isn't that dreadful.
